ABOUT
Brass Solidarity is a band founded in 2021 in response to the murder of George Floyd and the ongoing fight in the movement for Black lives. The members come from a variety of musical backgrounds and are united in their dedication to using their talents to promote social justice and bring people together.
We meet every Monday, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, at George Floyd Square (Chicago Ave & 38th St, Minneapolis) to build repertory and community. Other meetups happen in parks, at George Floyd Square, community picnics, and parades. Musicians of all levels are welcome to join us.
We engage with social justice leadership to contribute to Actions for Justice. Our musicians work for justice, not money. Stipends and donations we receive go directly into our work.
